OUR RIDES
You do not have to be a BUG member to join our rides !!.
Our rides are listed
-
listed in our Ride Calendar
-
on our FACEBOOK ;
-
Bicycle NSW’s Event Calendar where you’ll find rides organised by many other bicycle user groups (BUGs).
BUG rides are usually open to anyone who wants to participate within the fitness level and equipment requirements of the ride. Call the contact person for the ride you are interested in and they will be able to give you more information about the ride.
Our rides start from different venues – but mostly from the Orange Velodrome or Sir Jack Brabham Park. The distances usually vary between 15-50km and are usually at a slow to moderate pace. Occasionally longer special event or themed rides are organised.

BUG Regular Rides
Scheduled rides for social cycling.
BUG Event Rides
Ad hoc special BUG rides, family rides and events.
Regional Events
Bike and tourism related events in the region.
Sporting Rides
We support rides from our local cycling clubs.
What makes a BUG rides different is that we have ride accredited leaders trained by Bicycle NSW.

Our leaders are volunteers and are:
- familiar with ride routes in the region
- trained in group riding safety and current road rules
- have basic bike repair skills, and
- trained in first aid.

We ask that people on BUG rides sign on to acknowledge the ride leader and their own responsibilities. BUG members can sign a general acknowledgement as part of their annual membership.
